Our Primary 1 children had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day, dressed as their favourite characters or in cosy pyjamas.
We kicked things off with an energising workout session by Core Kids NI. Afterwards, we gathered on the carpet to enjoy Miss McFlynn's favourite story, "What the Ladybird Heard," using puppets to retell the tale.
The creativity continued as students illustrated their own Prize Cow, following a tutorial with impressive results! Equipped with magnifying glasses, we embarked on a school-wide adventure, solving riddles and uncovering hidden books. Sherlock Holmes would be proud—case closed!
After lunch, we enjoyed musical books, allowing students to explore friends' favourite reads while having a little dance. We ended the day in our transformed 'Cosy Club' classroom, snuggled up to watch an animation from a beloved author.
It was truly a wonderful day of reading and fun!
