As part of our 'Houses and Homes' topic, we asked Christopher Quinn from MOR Architects, if he would come and visit the class to explain a little bit more about his role as an architect.
He explained the process involved in designing and building a house and the importance of the sun's position when deciding where to situate certain rooms, windows and a garden.
He was able to show us plans, a 3D model and final pictures of a café he designed in Cookstown, that quite of few of us have been to already.
We got to see some building materials and we even picked our favourite paint and carpet colours from some samples.
Being an architect sounds like a very interesting job. We have been inspired now to plan our own dream bedroom.
