For our first day back after our short break, our P2 class were busy learning all about the Story of 6! We’ve been exploring the many different ways to make 6 using addition sentences. With the help of Numicon and part-whole models, we worked together to find number pairs that add up to 6.
Using Numicon shapes made it easy to see how numbers fit together, and our part-whole models helped us break numbers down and understand how addition works. From 1 + 5 to 3 + 3, we discovered all the possible ways to make 6!
