Primary 1 were shocked to discover footprints in our classroom today! After close inspection they discovered that the footprints were so long that they couldn’t belong to any of the boys and girls or even Miss McFlynn, Edel or Alana! There were even some short footprints, much shorter than any of the boys and girls! It was decided that Jack and Giant must have jumped down the Beanstalk in the polly tunnel!
The boys and girls had great fun measuring with the footprints to find things around the classroom that were longer and shorter than them. Afterwards they worked with a partner to measure the length of their own feet using cubes! What a great way to develop our measuring skills!
