Respect Week 2nd-6th December
From Monday 2nd to Friday 6th December we will be celebrating ‘Respect Week’ in St Mary’s. This is a great chance for the children to get a fuller understanding of one of our core school values. Children will have the chance to show respect for themselves, for others and for property and their school environment.
There will be a different initiative each day, starting with ‘We’re all Stars’ on Monday where the children will give a compliment and then pay it forward. On Tuesday, children are encouraged to bring in interesting fruits and vegetables for healthy snack and children will be encouraged to share. They will hopefully get the chance to try fruits and vegetables that they have maybe never tasted before. This sharing of healthy snacks helps the children to appreciate the importance of respecting others and themselves by sharing and by eating a healthy balanced diet. Could I please ask that children do not bring in any food products containing nuts.
Thank you,
Mr Herbert
