Spring on the Farm!
25th Feb 2025
In Primary 1, we're excited about our new topic, "Spring on the Farm."
We've been observing signs of spring, like blooming flowers and singing birds, and exploring farm animals and their babies.
Our stories, "Rosie's Walk" and "The Little Red Hen," have taught us about positional language, sequencing events, speech bubbles, and farm produce. We've also learned about the fascinating process of how wheat turns into flour.
Following yesterdays story of the Little Red Hen, we even made our own dough and will be using it to practice measuring weight this week, letter formation and fine motor skills!
We will be taking part in more practical activities like bread making and planting. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on our hands-on learning!
If we have any parents or family members who have knowledge or expertise of working on the farm and would like to help support our topic, please get in touch!
